HISTORY, THE POPE AND THE FUTURE

Dear Christains and Pastors,

In the Baptist Association Press article which attributed the alliance between evangelicals and the Catholics to Pope John Paul II, we have the following quote:

"In the end, evangelicals should be thankful for the personal virtues Pope John Paul II demonstrated, and for his advocacy on behalf of life, liberty and human dignity. Yet we cannot ignore the institution of the papacy itself, nor the complex of doctrines, truth claims and false doctrines that John Paul II taught, defended and promulgated," Mohler wrote, singling out the pope's teachings on salvation and his devotion to particular Catholic doctrines about Mary, the mother of Jesus, whom the pope labeled "co-redemptrix" with Christ" :

Recently, we also examined how the Pope prayed in his twenty six years as Pope from his book the "Rosary hour". We saw how references were made to Mary in the things that are biblically that of our Lord Jesus Christ. Again I must submit to you that Pope John Paul II did what most of the Popes were not very successful at doing and that is to disarm the evangelicals in a subtle manner while he continued with his false doctrines which he taught, defended and promulgated. To think some evangelicals called him a believer beats my imagination when he has all kinds of statements out there which prove to the contrary.

Apart from not speaking out for the poor catholics who are being lied to and being sent to hell everyday by the Roman catholics false doctrines, a movement towards the catholic church by the evangelicals is another damage done here because it is contrary to what the true believers of the past did and their history bears looking into at this perilous times. What was the attitude of the early christians towards the Pope and the catholic church? Let us take a moment to examine some of their works here.

John Wycliffe (1325-1384) challenged the teaching of the Roman Church by teaching against transubstantiation (the belief that the bread and wine turn into Christ’s body and blood during the mass). He made the proclamation that Christ is the head of the Church instead of the Pope and claimed the Bible as the sole authority for believers instead of the Church. It was the same John Wycliffe who translated the New Testament into English and made it available to the people so they could read the truth for themselves.

And of course we remember 1517, the year Martin Luther nailed his ninety-five theses to the church door in Wittenburg with the sole purpose of stating the scriptures were the sole authority for believers, not the Pope. The reaction was very swift with a lot of people coming to know the truth for themselves. They persecuted him but he prevailed and many souls got to know their true Lord and savior while they learnt they could live by faith and not by the lies of the Roman catholic church.

And What about the Puritans who claimed the Anglican Church was too close to the Catholic Church and wanted separation. They were called Puritans because they wanted to purify the Church of England. History has it that the Puritans sailed to Plymouth and were influential in the New World. They moved and separated themselves from the Catholic church and worshiped in truth and in freedom. They were simply following the scripture that says "COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM AND BE YE SEPARATE" 2 Cor.6:17, instead of letting the catholic church polute their teachings like it is been done today.

In fact the Freedom we enjoy today rest on the shoulders and the courage of the reformation movement leaders. It is widely believe that the religious individualism they fought for and got from the Catholic church led to individualism of other types. Popular education has been known to be the result of the new Christian desire to read the Bible for themselves instead of the catholic Church keeping them in the dark by offering their own false interpretations. The people of America and Europe became an educated workforce and electorate while Protestantism gave rise to capitalism and a strong work ethic. Moreover, Spiritual equality became political equality and democracies was born as a result of the enlightenment citizens had of themselves. Instead of the church thinking for the individuals, they were free from the bondage of the church, able to think for themselves and read the Bible on their own which is the gift of God to mankind.

Judging from history,it apears everyone who understood the Bible and the implications of compromising their faith with the Catholic institution took decisive actions by SEPARATING THEMSELVES from the catholic church. Today we have done exactly the opposite. We formed alliance with the catholic church instead of moving away from them. Pope John Paul II WAS CREDITED for orchestrating this plan with his many actions and popularity. While the evangelicals failed to recognize the danger in this, the Pope did his own job for the Roman catholic institution with excellence by wraping the evangelicals in so beautifully that it will take another RADICAL APROACH like Luther and Wycliffe did to move the evangelicals back to the right direction now. Just imagine how many preachers out there today refused to say anything about this subject.

And yet the Roman catholic institution is still the Whore of Revelation 17 and the DEVIL is still the chief force behind them as noted by early christians like John Wycliffe, Martin Luther and others. There is nothing controverisal about this because it is the truth. You either preach the truth or get out of the way altogether as a Preacher of the word. There may be a lot of repenting to do by so many chucrh leaders after they finally come to grips with this facts.

So where do we go from here? I say the next Pope will not be diffrent from the others. Its going to be more of the same or even worst. Don't wait around for the announcements of the next Pope. There is nothing exciting about that for us evangelicals. Instead of waiting around, we need to spread the word in our churches for the people of God to wake up. We need to sound the trumpet in Zion. One way to do this is by passing an article like this to others (you may not find many of this around). Let them wake up from their slumber of twenty six years of the charm of John Paul II to a new day and and let them repent for letting their guards down.

Do you know how many Roman Catholics died in their sin in the past twenty six years just because our church leaders were playing nice to the Pope by not really preaching the truth like John Wycliffe or Martin Luther did? They were busy embracing Rome's falsehood of having a believer Pope. The last Popes words on prayer alone and his many pronouncements which were contrary to the word of God made him a classical non beliver to me.

Just as Islam have more than one billion people trapped in lies and deceits , Catholicism's has over a billion souls being kept in the dark by the whore of revelation 17, who is none other than the Devil himself. It is those poor souls that we are fighting for just like the early Christians fought to free them from the grip of the catholic institution. We are at war with the devil all our lives so we might as well let the oppressed go free by opening the prison gate for them while we still can. Things may get really difficult with time in our histrory as predicted in the Bible with the persecution of the real preachers of the word.

In conclusion Brethren, Please pray for us, we have stirred the Devils nest by revealing his plans to the world and if God gives us strength we will do more. This is a very serious subject matter that demand a lot of prayer and help from the Holy Ghost. Forget about the media hype surounding the burial of the last Pope and the election of the next Pope. Help us get the word out to the people of God that it is time to wake up and Pray for the right kind of teachings on this subject.

THE MOSLEMS DEBATE: AN ADVICE

Beloved brother,

I appreciate your comment about moslems saying "bisimilahi" or "allhamdulai" when they enter a bus or taxi or get into any place. What they are doing is acknowledging their god "Allah" and praising him that he is great and there is none like him.
How great it would have been if we as believers would do likewise when we enter any place- to declare that Jesus is Lord,author and finisher of our faith etc.How wonderful it will be if anywhere and everywhere, we are singing praises to our God-in the taxi,in buses in airplanes at every opportunity we have,we sing songs and say things that does not hide whom we believe in and what we believe in.

These are the last days and we must not compromise any opportunity to share the gospel. Some guys will hide their bibles when they know it's a moslem sitting by them whereas that's the time to put it on the table for them to see it. Usually many of them make a comment about it and that's the open door to start sharing the love of Christ.

Sir,I counsel that you don't even wait until they say those things before you begin to sing"He is Lord" or other worship songs. Sometimes this provokes them to talk about Jesus.

Our problem is not with moslems but our enemy is the Allah they worship who has blinded them from seeing the light of the gospel. Immediately after Judas betrayed Jesus,He called him friend.He said in Matt 26:50 "Friend,why have you come"
Jesus differentiated between the sinner and the sin. We should do same. Jesus loves moslems and died for them and he is still interceding for them.He wants them saved but our warfare should be against the spirit called Allah.

Being a former hardliner moslem before and having been given a burden for moslems,I can assure you that many Christians hate,fear and despise moslems whereas we should love and pray for them to win them to Christ.It's love that I was shown that won me to Christ more than preaching.

THE BOLDNESS OF THE LORD

Let me share a little something with us. In Nigeria, any time one happens to
be in public transportation, and a muslim comes in, they immediately mutter their praises to allah. It is second nature to them. I always cover myself with the
BLOOD OF JESUS when this happens.

Recently, I decided to go a step farther. Anytime that scenenario presented itself,I would immediately respond audibly with the BLOOD OF JESUS. Of course the muslims took umbrage but I immediately let them know that as long as they could say "bismillahi" and what have you,I had a right to say what I wanted.

What is my point? BOLDNESS!!!!!We must begin to take decisive steps in proclaiming our FAITH. We are CHRISTIANS and we should make it known.

As Bro Sayo said, we have gone to sleep. We have become too concious of social niceties. Please Church is not socials it is souls!!!! IF WE DONT WAKE UP,WE WILL BE SWAMPED BY SUCH THINGS AS ARE EMANATING FROM THE CATHOLIC CHURCH AND OTHER SOCIO RELIGIOUS BODIES. AWAKE!ARISE!! THE WILDERNESS CRY: WE HAVE ALL BEEN TAKEN IN

Thanks Kay for this exposee. WE HAVE ALL BEEN TAKEN IN. There is a blindness and a slumber that has come upon the Church. I am guilty of seeking a Bridge where all there is is a VOID. How can we build upon Nothing? The question is simple and it is as we were taught in our youth; Is JESUS THE CHRIST? Is HE the Savior of the World? Does he indeed require a Co redemptress? Could the concept of Salvation from Jesus even be entertained by the Faith Delivered unto the Fathers? The Scriptures teaches about salvation in and through Jesus and Jesus alone.

The American Church is quiet, the African Church has decided NOT to Exercise her Voice; the Asian Church... I do not know what is going on there. But we all seem to be caught up in this incidious desire to be Politicaly Correct. We have therefore lost Power in the Pulpit, we have lost Conviction in the Pew; we have lost direction as a Church; we heal the hurt of Gods people lightly: WE HAVE STOPPED TEACHING THE TRUTH!

There needs to be a Cry to our World about the Truth and it may be rising in the Wilderness of Houston with you Brother Kay. This cry NEeds to encompass THE TRUTH about OUR FAILINGS as the CHURCH. We have left the Truth, we are Spoiling the Faith; like the Leaders of Amos time, we are more interested in our Ceiled homes than in the message that Redeems mankind; We are generaly Lost and Floundering on the Sea of Confusion.

The Earlier matter you raised about Hank Hanegraff and Charismatic Leaders bears reference again. Of the Charismatic leaders who make bread with people of God and turns the labor of God's people into wine of luxury that they drink; who among us is bold enough to stand and say Brother what thou doest is wrong - like Sanya suggested, like apostle Paul did with Peter? We therefore are Sinners with them . I will write more on this later.

TROUBLE TIMES AHEAD - SPIRITUAL DANGERS AHEAD - PLEASE SOUND THE ALARM - WAKE UP PEOPLE OF GOD. REMOVE THE SPIRITUAL SCALE OFF YOUR EYES. BE COURAGEOUS EVEN IF IT MEANS POLITICAL INCORRECTNESS AND EVEN DEATH IF IT EVER COMES TO THAT.

OH! WHAT DO YOU MEAN DEATH? DID WE FORGET WE WERE CALLED TO CARRY OUR CROSS AND FOLLOW HIM TO WHEREVER EVEN IF IT MEANS DEATH? WELL THEN, WELCOME TO CHRISTIANITY. THERE IS AN URGENCY HERE TO AWAKEN THE PEOPLE OF GOD TO THE DANGERS AHEAD. THE BIG TIME CHRISTAIN GIANTS ARE NOT DOING ANY PREACHING ON THIS. REMEMBER GOD USES THE WEAK THINGS OF THE WORLD, THE FOOLISH THINGS, THE UNIMPORTANT PEOPLE, THE WEAK THINGS (US) TO CONFOUND THE WISE. NOW THERE YOU HAVE IT. YOU ARE IMPORTANT TO GOD AND A USEFUL TOOL TO HIM EVEN IF PEOPLE DON'T BELIEVE IN YOU. JUST SPEAK UP AND FORGET THE REST. YOU WOULD HAVE DONE WHAT THE LORD IS PROMPTING YOU TO DO AND YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT HE HAS IN MIND FOR DOING THINGS THE WAY HE DOES THEM. JUST OBEY HIM.

People of God, we have been set up big time and by God I am going to Prove it to you even if we are a lone voice CRYING foul for now. I believe the church will wake up soon enough to see how naked she has become. Many of our known church leaders who are supposed to be loudest on this subject now are the same people extolling the praise of Pope John Paul II. I BOUGHT INTO IT FOR A WHILE TOO. What this does is make the Job of the next Pope easier and that is to further PULL THE BELIEVER (THE CHURCH) INWARD TOWARDS ROME - THE CATHOLIC CHURCH - THE WHORE OF REVELATION 17. After all, POPES ARE NOW MEN OF GOD WHO ARE SPIRITUAL LEADERS FOR ALL FAITH. That is what POPE JOHN PAUL II ARCHIVED IN HIS 26 YEARS. HE GOT THE ACCEPTANCE AND APROVAL OF THE WHOLE WORLD. The critics of the whore of revelation 17 have been silenced by the last Pope. They sing his praise now.

Even the Fox news that Pride itself as the "Voice of the conservatives" is one of the leading voices Praising the Pope as a "prayer icon" who prayed communism down, prayed against the war in Iraq and many other things.

So how did the Pope Prayed ? We can examine how he prayed IN HIS 26 YEARS AS POPE only from Pope John Paul II himself by examining what he wrote in his book about how he prayed. So here is a synopsis of one of his books on Prayer below:

These are not my words but words from the Popes book. Unless you don't know your bible, or you are a baby christian or simple not saved, one can tell those are fundamental attacks on what we as Christians hold so dear as CORNERSTONE of our faith. These statements from Pope John Paul II book, "The Rosary Hour" should tell you this is PURE IDOLATRY OF THE HIGHEST FLATTERY.

Over the ages, the Catholic Church has always given to MARY what is BIBLICALLY UNIQUELY THAT OF JESUS and turned the BIBLE UPSIDE DOWN OR DILUTED IT OR PRETEND TO GO ALONG WITH IT JUST SO THE EVANGELICALS CAN ACCEPT THEM. The pope even wrote a book about christ and how one should move close to him . Now how can you reconcile that book with this book. EXACTLY THE POINT. DOUBLE TALK. MORE BOMBSHELL TO COME

HAROLD CAMPING - Controversial Christain Radio Show Host

I don't want to divert attention from the present on going debate of the Pope. I am curious if you have heard of Harold Camping Co- founder of Family Radio (California) which is world wide. I have just sent a sample of what he preaches to you. Unfortunately numerous people tune to family radio throughout the U.S and abroad. They have genuine Christian preachers sometimes and very good music. Harold Camping comes in about twice a day. His open forum starts at 8: P.M. People call in and ask him questions. His answers are so off base and you wonder why people still call in. On my way from church I heard a woman vigorously challenging him this evening on the subject I sent to you earlier. If you have not heard of him before, I encourage you to do a search on him. My brother we are witnessing the last days. According to Harold Camping we are already in the great tribulation and Christ is coming in the year 2011. Interesting!!

THE POPE AND THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

Beloved brethren, we seem to have dealt with the Hank Hannegraafs issue very well. Thank you for all your contributions by e-mail and by phone conversations. We learned quite a bit from each other. Hank and his people are supposed to be responding to the e-mail we posted on their website in defense of our christain leaders within three to four weeks. So we wait and see if a response will ever come.

While we wait, there is another subject I thought I knew something about but now I am rather confused and sincerely need some refresher course/more education on this. Now this one is way over my head. Maybe some other Christians have the same questions like I do. I do not know.

Brethren, can you comprehend what is going on in the world today about Pope John Paul II? This has certainly turned all that was taught to us, growing up as Christians, upside down don't you think?

From what I read and heard on TV, Pope John Paul II, appeared to have been a good man and even notable christain leaders have gone as far as saying he was born again. Now I do not doubt that any man could be born again and maybe he was. But then he still prayed to Mary and used his rosary till his death as was reported by the media. It has also been said that some Charismatic Catholics claim that after being baptized by the Holy Spirit they have a deeper relationship with Mary, they can recite the rosary in tongues, and many other claims contrary to the Bible. Brethren, there is no reconciliation between praying to Mary and believing in Jesus you know. I can accept and live with one fact and that is Pope John Paul II was a better United Nations Ambassador of a kind than Kofi Annan is or will ever be, reaching out far more and having more appeal to the world.

But what about what we were taught over the years about the Catholic church being the WHORE OF REVELATION 17. Are we supposed to discard that now that we have had a Pope who was widely accepted by the whole world and seem to be loved dearly even in death?

We were told sooner or later, the catholic church will try to bring all religions and political might together under what is going on now called the "Ecumenical movement " in bid to influence and control the world. What happened at the Popes funeral ceremony look so much like a preview of that to me especially in an age of CNN to give coverage and color to it.

It was like, "who is who" of world leaders and Religious leaders - Muslims, Christians and all other religious leaders, were just tripping over each other to pay homage to the dead Pope. The rush to Rome last week was just too much to ignore. Is there anything PROPHETICALLY significant here or the pool of people to Rome was just as a result of the goodwill of the dead Pope alone? Lots of questions but few clear answers. People, I wish I know the answer to this one so I could earn some bragging rights. But guess what? I honestly do no know the answer to this and many more.

So the questions are:

1. Pastors or anyone knowledgeable enough to tackle this, WHAT IS GOING ON? What is the status of the Catholic church today? Is it still the same as we were taught or has it changed forever through the influence of this last Pope?

2. What about this dead Pope, some Christians say he was born again. Is this true or not or will we ever know for sure? What was his place or role among the other Popes who were almost sinister characters in history?

3. And what are we waiting for next, viz a viz, the biblical Prophecy concerning Rome and the end time. This is important for us to know at this end time in order to prepare ourselves. We desperately seek answers ( and your response can come anytime you like - immediately after now or days or even weeks) to these questions. We need to know what is really going on.

We have not heard anyone out there really doing any teaching on this at this time since the praise of this dead Pope seems to have silenced all the critics of the Catholic church. All the critics have run for cover just like Peter ran for cover, by cursing, when they asked him if he knew Jesus, as they were about to crucify him. The only difference between what Peter did then and what is going on now is nobody is "cursing" but "praising" the dead pope. Just as it was not politically correct then for Peter to say he knew Jesus, it is now not politically correct for any leader (Political leader or Religious leader including our so called big time brothers in the church and even the jews) to say anything negative about the dead Pope and consequently guess who benefits from all this goodwill after this Pope is long forgotten? The Roman catholic institution.

What a perfect time in the history of the world to romance and pay homage to the WHORE OF REVELATION 17. Is Rome still the whore or not? We cannot tell right now can we? Everybody seems to have become an "unofficial" member of the Roman catholic church at this moment, anxiously waiting for the selection and the announcement of the next Pope. Shall I say "OUR POPE" to join the world and use a more Politically correct language??? I don't think so.

Did you know the last Pope was described as the GLOBAL POPE FORTHE GLOBAL CHURCH by the world Media? Does this sound an alarm bell somehow in your spirit about the stage that is being set for other possibilities in the catholic church and the world in the future? So what does this mean for the future now that this Pope is gone? So many questions but few answers?

Beloved brethren and dear Pastors, what is true and what is not? We really need your WISDOM at this crucial time in the history of the church so let us hear from you. We need some education on this one. Your sheep are hungry for knowledge. Hope to read from anyone who has some insight on this.

IN DEFENCE OF OUR CHRISTIAN LEADERS

IMPERFECT VESSELS?

Of Hank Hanegraaff----> and his attack on many of the known Christian leaders, here is my thought on that:

Several years ago, I read something very revealing about the state of man and the work of God in the preface of a very popular bible. I am not sure now if its Dakes,Thomas Henry or Scofield bible but the word in the preface of this particular bible in reference seems to be "one size fits all " in its argument.

After the authors and thePublishers of that bible explained the deep and painstaking work that they did over the years to produce that beautiful bible, they humbly submitted that should any person who is more learned in the translation of the original tongue find any mistakes in their work, they would appreciate it if such a person will offer correction to it, as we are all "laborers together with him".

That statement in itself is good enough for me. But then they went further by saying something that I have since made the cornerstone of my walk with God since then and that is, " throughout the ages, God has always used and relied on imperfect men to carry out his work on earth". Indeed there has never been a perfect man, except our Lord, who has ever walked the earth. Therein lies the solution to our inferiority complex at doing the work of our Lord.

All men are imperfect in their ways. We strive for perfection and even then we stumble several times on our way to nothing near the perfection that we seek. And who does God continue to use to do his work on earth? You and I despite our imperfect nature. The more we fully comprehend this fact, the more we will humble ourselves before God so that Gods power will manifest itself in our weaknesses as Paul found out in his walk with the lord.

Having laid this foundation, let us then use this fact to take a critical look at the men of God Like Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, Kenneth Hagin, Paul Crouch, Morris Cerulo and others mentioned in the piece by Hank. We shall see how easy it is to find fault in any man of God no matter how successful they may appear to be for we are all imperfect men carrying on the work of God on earth. You do not even have to look too deep to find some fault in any man that walks the earth, be they men of God or men of the devil. The faults are just there to see for those who choose to look for them.

So the question now is this: Is Hank right to point out the faults of his fellow christians even if he thinks they are in error ? I don't think so. Is there any truth to some of the things he is saying ? Certain things are correct if you group genuine Christian leaders with the crooked ones and then paint them with the same brush which is what Hank did in his piece. Indeed many things said by Hank are way off the mark and not necessary. I can understand why some of the Christain leaders are mad about his piece but you can expect more attacks to come anyway.

I have often thought the most difficult job in the world is pastoring. You deal with all kinds of human beings with all kinds of problems from diffrent backgrounds with different temperaments. You cannot fire them from your church like you will do in a secular job. You get to deal with them very closely and all kinds of issues will come to the surface because that is the very reason they have come to church anyway. Your only tool is the word of God and you better know how to divide it in season and out of season or else you will have a whole lot of crisis and mess on your hand pretty soon. You are an IMPERFECT VESSEL PUT IN CHARGE OF THE MOST IMPERFECT CREATURES OF GOD ON EARTH -THE MEN AND WOMEN IN YOUR CHURCH.

With this picture in mind, think about those men of God who have thousands of members, who appear on TV. I happen to think those men are one of the most miserable men on earth because their burden is not as easy as we are wont to think. Yes, there is limelight involve in this. They get to be known by many people and have certain privileges. Well, with those come awesome responsibilities and its difficulties and problems that is beyond the scope of this discussion here. The fact is they pay a prize for that too. Not to even talk of Gods dealing with them in their abode as all men who have been close to God and have ministered extensively will tell you. After those flashy appearances and dynamic preaching's that we see on TV, there are periods of chastning and feeling of inadequacies that God do place on men of God by his own doing after those seemly glorious moments. Those who are full time pastors can bear witness to this. Maybe that is what Paul was talking about when he talked about " a torn in his flesh ", I don't know.

How could you you preach a dynamic sermon with everyone on their feet clapping for you and praising God for your life and then you went home and jump in your bed and then begin a period of inadequacies and feelings of unworthiness and emptiness inside. Often times you find yourself back on your knees asking God to deliver your soul and to forgive you for your own faults even though you just got the most accolades that any man would hope for. I thought I was the only one who used to feel this way before untilthe great Pastor John Avanzini confirmed the same thing on the air one day stating it exactly like I did here and then I knew this must be widespread among men of God and indeed anyone who gets out there to sincerely do Gods work.

I dare say if you have never experienced this before you probably have not been out there doing the real work of God because this will come with ministry (small timer ministry or big timer ministries). The chastning of God goes hand in hand with the work of the Lord.

What am I getting at? I am saying God will judge his own men himself and not us who should throw stone at them by highlighting their faults and bringing out their errors. Those are issues that deals with each individuals walk with his Lord. Do we now turn a blind eye to the faults and sins of our Christians leaders ? Of course not. Any leader is primarily acountable to God here on earth and in heaven. This we know for sure. Also, the fact is, a godly Christian leader must have done the prudent thing anyway by placing himself under certain authority for which he is accountable. They are those who are entrusted with watching over that leader, be it Benny Hinn, Copeland , Paul Youngi Cho and others who must submit to those authorities whenever they call them to order. We don't get to hear of this part often do we?. Those christain leaders who choose to just go on with their lives and ministry without "watchmen" over their lives, do find trouble waters ahead of them sooner or later anyway.

In the church of our Lord, we therefore, WATCH over each other and not WAGE a "campaign of catalogs of academic exposiae" of each others faults. Hank should let the watchmen do their job or be accountable to God for their own actions. Enough of his attacks already.
